Dearest Mother Nature,

You're completely forgiven. How particularly thoughtful of you to arrange it so that I didn't have to work on Friday.

Hugs & kisses,

Jersey Girl

    I agree.

Although I work at home anyway. And the weather has prevented me from getting in touch with the mortgage department to secure a mortgage before the rates go up.

But I have to say, it was nice having the geekboy home today, even though he's spent the entire day sitting in front of his computer tearing his hair out.

We don't have any sort of weather here. Grey skies, no wind, no rain, no nothing. Snow seems almost nice now. Luckily we did get to see and feel some snow in the US.

We got less than that, at least here at my house. Maybe 4 inches?

Our heaviest snow came right at rush hour this morning - you couldn't even see. So I'm not surprised most places closed. But things here slow down during snow much more than you would expect.

A few years ago I drove to work during a snowstorm, sat alone in the office for three hours, and then finally a boss (from another state!) called and was shocked that I showed up. I was like, "Um, well, nobody told me not to, asshole."

I'm not sure how many inches we got here. I think around six or so. As it turns out, my office was closed not necessarily due to the snowfall, but thanks to the accompanying power outage. Not that I care. The end result was the same.
