So I'm reading this story in the paper today about a kidnapping at a local supermarket and I'm thinking, there has got to be more to this. Then I found my answer...
Beardsley later told police he had recognized Thompson immediately because he had stolen cocaine from her a week earlier.

Cheer up, I believe the 18-year-old "victim," Jacob Beardsley, is the brother of Montgomery High School girls soccer coach Jeremy Beardsley, who was named Courier News 2005 Girls Soccer Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to the state Group III co-championship.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, I believe their father coaches, or used to coach, the boys varsity soccer team at Bound Brook H.S.

I think Ryan Breznitsky was one of the guys who accompanied the dame on the armed robbery
